How to play you tube music videos on sonos speakers (play1)
There's not an easy way, since Sonos speakers aren't designed to be computer (push to) type speakers. There appear to be some 3rd party applications in various online stores that purport to do that. I've not used any of them, as if I'm going to watch YouTube, a rare event, I would push it from my iPad to my Apple TV and let my Playbar handle it, without the issues of the slight delay if you were to use a line-in on a Connect or Play:5.
I have a smart TV for Youtube to my PlayBar

You can also use;

SonosTube (Google it)
Thank you for your info and advice.
I have had Sonos since 2014 and never had a problem. I have a Playbar, Sub, 2xPlay1's, all in the living room as a surround system connected to a Boost hard wired to the router. My complex is installing a community cable and wifi service thru Charter/Spectrum this summer and it's a great deal. Question: am I still going to be able to connect as I have thru my Boost or am I going to have to use some other method (like shelling out for a Connect)?
As long as your Boost is wired to some router, be it yours, or the complex's, you'll be fine. Essentially, you're running on SonosNet, a parallel wifi mesh system Sonos developed which is generated by the Boost, and supported by all of your speakers.

Just be sure your controller is connected to the same wifi signal as the boost, so that they can see each other.
Thanks, that makes me feel better. I'll let you know, or call for help, when the change over happens.
Theres a pretty good community of people here who like to help out where they can. Varying levels of skills (mine is lower than others), but if you post a question with enough details, it's pretty darn likely you'll get a reasoned response. Good luck!
What a waste of money, have had no success in Alexa have followed all instructions dies not connect to my Sonos
Perhaps, since you're having trouble, you might want to call in to their customer service line, and get assistance?

Thanks for your help
You're most welcome. I'd have been happy to provide more assistance if you'd posted enough detail about the issue you've been experiencing. There are quite a few people who frequent these forums in order to provide advice, based on personal experience, and they tend to be as good as the Sonos folks, and sometimes quicker to respond, as well, as Sonos folks tend to get pulled much more in to the weeds. As near as I can tell, the majority of those who do that kind of thing here have rock solid systems that just work, and are eager to help others get in to the same state.

I do hope you're able to get whatever issue you're dealing with taken care of quickly. It really is a great system.
Don’t get me wrong I do like Sonos I have 2x play 5 and 2 play 1 on all the time it’s Ecoho dit is the issuer I will continue to enjoy my music
Jeez! I can't even figure out how to ask a question! So I brought my play one to a friend's place for an extended visit. At home it's connected through a connect device. Here it would be a standard connection. Can I schlep it back and forth. Will it reconnect easily and repeatedly?
The Sonos forum software is really confusing and hard to use so I can understand your frustration.

On the forum home page https://en.community.sonos.com there is a Create Topic option up in the top right, use that to start. Enter the post's title in the Title block, the Description block is where your actual post should be typed. Then pick Question or Conversation, I have no clue what the difference in the two is so you are on your own there. Pick a Sub-Forum to post in, if you aren't sure don't worry just pick the Welcome - Ask a Question one. Skip the tags and click Create Topic. Clear as mud...

Moving your Sonos between networks isn't that hard, not sure what the best help topic would be but you can search them if this isn't what you need.

I'm going to close this thread down now as it was originally started as a spam post and has been pretty randomly used. Feel free to make new threads to discuss questions, topics, and other Sonos and related topics on the board.
