The only reason I'm looking at Sonos now is that for sound bars and home theater they continue to rise to the top. Sonos offers features and performance that the other competitors do not. And since I'd have to switch to a whole new system anyway if I chose another brands component. so in that sense the S2 app is a complete switch, like going to a different brand.

Going with a different manufacturer is as much of a break from my existing system as going with Sonos. It is the upgrade offer that makes the difference. The conclusion I made was at the price point my 30% discount gets me the Sonos system is the best choice for me at this time. Sonos needs to prove themselves even more. If it wasn't for the discount they might not even be on my list.

Which is an interesting story, but it has absolute zero to do with the subject of this thread.  Please stay on topic;  the new features in the latest update.

I got up this morning and tried to play Pandora. It gave me an authentication error, saying something was denied. Pulled Pandora up in my browser, and it works fine.

Tried to remove the service from Sonos on my Windows box. Asked me to login to Sonos. Tried to do that, said my login was bad. Got on the phone, and went to network foolishly thinking I’d see something there, had to set all three speakers back up again which took 10 minutes. Pandora still doesn’t work. Finally managed to remove it.

Spotify works just fine.

I just removed Pandora as a service (from my phone) and tried to add it back. Won’t add. Also, my voice assistant that I’ve set up like 4 times is not working either.

The error is “Something went wrong - Check your Internet connection and try again.” My phone has Internet and so does this computer, obviously.

Tom, I know software is hard because I write it. That said, Sonos seems to have some people working on it who have a very odd idea how to build and release software. I’ve found Sonos consistently confused about state, messaging, forced retries in setup, constantly demanding I have to update the software all the time and the layout of the app on the computer is just  space wasting, at best.

When it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t, well, better schedule some time off to do surgery on it.
