I’m looking to move a large iTunes library onto a portable external hard drive. Western Digital, Seagate, and LaCie all have comparably priced 2-3TB devices. Wondering if anyone in the community has recently purchased one of these devices and transferred a library? If so, which one and did you encounter any difficulties?

I have several Western Digital external drives and they are quiet and reliable.
Have you considered a NAS drive instead so access won't be dependent on your computer?
