For those who can’t quite seem to grasp why Sonos can’t support older versions of iOS. Apple’s policies dictate. Sonos must play by Apple’s rules.

New apps, not updates to apps already in the store.

Besides, Sonos not allowing at least partial support for old versions of apps is their business decision not Apple or Google.

Yeah I skimmed it really fast, but the article doesn't prove your point.

It doesn't say what you think it says and has zero to do with Sonos supporting older versions of their apps. They simply have to update them for newer versions of iOS which requires either nothing or is very trivial. Supporting the iPhone X screen is laughably trivial to do.
