Having Hard time connecting my Sonos Beam gen 2 to my Home wi-fi, can some one help?

Hi. Do you mean WPA rather than WAP? Do you have the option to choose WPA or WPA2?

Are you getting any error messages?

I have a dual band router, i know Beam Gen2 don’t connect to 5GHz band so i was using my 2.4GHz band wi-fi and the wifi security is set to WAP PERSONAL SECURITY and my router is 802.11 b/g/n mode.

Hi John, thanks for your reply. It is a typo i suppose to write WPA, no i don't have WPA or WPA2 selection option, it is common WPA/WPA2 personal and the other options or WPA/WPA2 enterprise and WEP, below are the other wireless settings,

Mode:802.11 b/g/n mixed, channel:13, channel width: 40MHz, Transmit Power: High.

The error message is " Device cannot be connected to wifi changing router settings/ rebooting may help"..

Try changing that channel to 1, 6 or 11.

Also change the channel width to 20MHz.

If that doesn’t help, can you try wiring the speaker to see if it then connects (as a diagnostic experiment, not a solution).
