So I’ve been digging around and have not found a place to contact support directly so is this the place?

I had an arc with the one SL’s setup as surround sounds.  I replaced the One SL with Era 300’s.   I factory reset the One SL’s and set them up for both to be in Office.   I click add stereo pair and it runs the setup and then says there is a problem.    The Wi-Fi is a deco BE 95 mesh in access point mode,  I’ve tried turning off the 5Ghz off and only using 2.4 and vice versa, tried connecting both One SL’s to ethernet same problem.   So after hours of frustration I decide Lets just setup the era 300’s as the surround speakers so at least I can have that.  I setup the speakers add them to main bedroom.   Well on the sonos app there is now main bedroom, main bedroom 2, and main bedroom 3.  Odd but I go to the Main Bedroom the arc and sub are there i click Add surround speakers and it comes back saying I NEEED 2 compatible speakers.

Why is this such a painful setup?  this should be so simple.  Is there anywhere I can get infomation on the errors so I might be able to address them?  “It didn’t work” is not helpful to someone trying to figure out why its not working.

No, unfortunately they aren’t in these forums. At the bottom of this page is a link ‘Contact Us’, by which you can get in touch with Sonos Support directly.

Not sure if it will help, but Sonos does have an FAQ for adding surround speakers here

Oh where I get to talk to a BOT and it never connects me to someone.  Sonos has gone to crap.

The FAQ’s have not had anything that helped at all.  Done so many factory resets and rebooting routers and AP points.   The product has become non functional.

If you’ve created a room with your Eras in it, they are not available to add as surrounds. So the app is correct in what it reports. Because you stereo-paired them to an existing room/roomname, Sonos simply called it main bedroom 2.

You need to separate the stereo pair in main bedroom 2. Then go to main bedroom and add surrounds. The app will show you what speakers are available for this function, so the Eras will be offered to you by the app.

This is simple, and I’m pretty sure it’s covered in the FAQ’s on the link you were given earlier in this thread.

I just checked, and the FAQ’s clearly state in the “Before you start” section:

  • If the products you want to use as surrounds are set up as a stereo pair, make sure you separate the stereo pair before adding them as surrounds.

How can you say you read the FAQ’s and they “have not had anything that helped at all”?

The one SL were removed from the. Surround and are setup as single speakers in the same room but unable to pair.  The era 300s are added as new speakers and when I try to put them in main bedroom it creates main bedroom 2 and main bedroom 3.  When I click add surround speakers it says I don’t have any comparable speakers.  So the above isn’t quite what is wrong.
