Hello All,

am new to the Sonos Family and currently very impressed with speakers. Everything seems to operate correctly with CEC control but i can’t seem to play Dolby TrueHD audio from Plex using a 2019 Shield TV pro. The video plays fine with when using the TrueHD track, does not pass through the audio - there is no sound. The specs indicate that the Arc Ultra can support TrueHD tracks. What am i doing wrong?

Also, i believe that the Arc Ultra does not support DTS-HD or DTS-X. Is there a way to trick to system to play those tracks by modifying the HDFury VRROOM setting or are those formats just not compatible with the Arc?

Again… thanks for any help or suggestions here.

Hello @Tiger99, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Connection - Shield TV pro - HDFury VRRoom to Arc Ultra and Epson LS11000 separately.

This is an unsupported setup for Sonos. I would recommend reaching out to NVIDIA and HDFury Support for assistance.

There are other several threads in our Community that discuss this, so feel free to look around., you might find an answer

With my response your thread moved to the top of the latest activity list. Maybe other users with the same setup who got this to work can share their knowledge.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. For clarity, what setup would be supported by Sonos for TrueHD playback. Is the unsupported issue NVIDIA and/or HDFury? Is Plex also part of issue? Would like to experiment with a Sonsons supported option for TrueHD.

Thanks.

Update…. I got this to work through a request on the board for Vrroom. Am currently able to play TrueHD files via Plex on the Arc using the Vrroom… For anybody interested. Here’s the link to the Vrroom board and Kudos to CappyKD, who was great to help me solve the problem there.
