Surround sound not working (Beam plus Play 1 and One SL)

Hi, I’m trying to connect my Play 1 and One SL to my Beam for surround sound. They are all WiFi enabled and powered on. This is the sequence I’ve tried:

System - (chose the room I want eg Living Room) - Set up Surrounds - Continue

It them brings up a message saying :

Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add surrounds. Make sure your products are powered on and connected to WiFi

Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong :(

You’re trying to mix a Play:1 with a One. They are different speakers and can’t be paired.
