I have Sonos Playbase from 2017. Can I add Sub gen3 to it? Are they compatible to each other?

As long as you’re running your setup on the S2 Sonos system, rather than S1, then ‘yes’ you can add a Sub (gen3) to use with your Sonos Playbase.
