My Sonos Beam Gen2 volume operates perfectly from the app, but when I try to use my TV remote I get an echo.

I've gone to the audio settings on the TV and attempted to switch from TV speakers to audio system, but it instantly switches itself back, displaying a message that says: “Audio system is unavailable. Switching audio to TV speakers.”
Am I overlooking another kind of setting?

Are you using the Sonos hdmi cable to connect? Make sure both ends are fully seated.

Sometimes powering the TV up/down with the Sonos not connected and going. Through the TV setup steps can help.
