sound wont play through arc ultra

I have an older Samsung model UN55KS8500. It says the arc ultra is connected, but no sound plays. I changed HDMI cords, unplugged everything for 5 minutes and still no sound. With the tv remote when I turn up the volume I can see the volume go up in the sons app. But no sound. What else should I try

I’d power cycle both devices, the TV and the Arc Ultra. That means unplugging both from the wall, not just using a remote to turn them off, it isn’t the same thing.

I’d also make sure CEC (or whatever the manufacturer calls it (Anynet +?) is turned on, and that the Arc Ultra is plugged in to the ARC or eARC port. And you’re using the cable provided by Sonos.
