Sonos One and Ray

I have a Ray and a Sonos One and wondered if the One can be used as surround (ish) sound with the Ray.  This would be for tv playback mainly.   I’m getting a new Era 100 for my home office and want to make use of the One.

You need two speakers of the same model to use for surrounds.

Refurb One SL looks the cheapest Sonos option, it should work with the One you have.

If we have a Ray, with a One and a One SL for surround, will it be possible to use the micro from the One as the Ray doesn’t have one ?

For soundbars without a microphone, the microphone in the surrounds will be active.
