Hi Amazing people,

I recently purchased Sonos beam gen 2, I noticed sound is more left centric than balanced. Left side speaker is more crispy and right side one (fourth speaker from left) is little muffle.
I also saw many users complaining about it when googled about this issue. But no resolution!

is it something engineered this way ? Or my product is defective ? Kindly suggest as I am in lots of confusion

I would suggest you contact Sonos Support. They will most likely have you submit diagnostic to try an pinpoint the issue.

I have a Beam Gen 2 but I’m not experiencing any of the issue you mention. Regardless of what is on the internet if your sound is truly off center (or muffled on one side) my best advice is to contact Sonos Tech support.

BTW..I use iOS to Trueplay my Beam 2 with sub and Era 100 surrounds. Maybe that is the difference. If you are using Android then Trueplay is not an option. You’d have to borrow an iOS device.

Once again you have my recommendation to contact Sonos Tech support or depending upon when and where you purchased the Beam 2 you might consider asking for a replacement unit to see if the issue continues. That of course would mean the unit is defective which contacting Sonos tech support might verify that for you.

Hi,
Today I visited showroom where I purchased beam 2. I tried with audio samples which I felt it’s left centric and I found the same issue in demo piece as well. The show room engineer also agreed for the same and he said it might have designed this way for some purpose.

I agree with him, it’s very hard to find it when u are 2 feet away. If u keep your ear close to the soundbar and move it towards left to right one can feel the change in what I mentioned

Regards,
