Hi,

Just bought a sonos arc and paired with an old LG UH770V.  Connected via the HDMI arc port and getting sound from the arc.  However nothing I do gets anything better than Dolby 5.1.  No films on netflix play in anything other than 5.1 (I have the premium subscription.)  The Tv has no dolby atmos settings but does have a Dolby digital plus setting (or auto).  On my laptop, Netflix offers spatial audio so must be something in my TV/soundbar set up preventing this.

Any ideas?  Thanks

You have to have Netflix premium (the $19.99/mo plan) for Atmos.

YouTube sources, even when listed as Atmos, are stereo PCM 95% of the time.

The most Atmos content can be found on DIsney+

If you are sure you are getting an Atmos signal, try these settings:

HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream

Digital Sound Output: Pass Through

eARC Support: On

Also check if the TV has the latest software installed.

No 2016 TV does Atmos. Not even pass through: https://reddit.com/r/OLED/s/N3Oud2seyz

Oh, I missed that it was from 2016.  Good catch!
