How do i set up the arc with a sky q box ?

Hi @Manny1966

The Sky Q box is connected to the TV via HDMI

The Arc is then connected to the TV via HDMI into he port on the TV that is labeled HDMI ARC (or eARC)

Worst cast, as a last resort, you can plug the Arc directly into your Sky Q Box with the included HDMI to Optical adapter….. BUT you will lose a fair bit of functionality vs connecting via HDMI ARC

Use the supplied cable to plug the Arc into the eArc HDMI of the TV as per these instructions.

https://www.sonos.com/support/en-us/sonos-user-guide/index.html#t=sonos-user-guide%2Farc%2Farc.htm

The SkyQ will then plug into another HDMI port on the TV.  You need to check the setting for you TV to check what Dolby formats are supported and can be forwarded to the ARC

Still having lip sync issues with the Arc and Sky Q. Have to use the optical cable as unusable when using the hdmi to earc. Thus only 5.1 not Dolby Atmos. A known but apparently not a priority issue for either Sky or Sonos to resolve.

Actually the chances are good its either Sky or Samsung at fault. Zero issues with audio delay have been attributed to Sonos that I can recall.

There is also the problem that Sonos engineering have no presence in the UK, which makes debugging anything regarding Sky Q somewhat of a challenge.
