Sonos App - Play:1 speakers

Hi

Have just tried to reconfigure my SONOS setup after the app upgrade (on iphone).  I’m having a major issue with adding my Play:1s which I have been using in a surround sound config with sub and playbar.  I have done factory reset a few times, the app seems to find the Play:1s ok but when I go into set up, the speakers are nowhere to be found and I have to go through the whole process again, to achieve the same result ie no Play:1s are found.  What have I missed? Playbar and sub are fine - had no issues before the upgrade.

Thanks

Been a long while since I messed with my Play 1s but I think I ended up wiring both to Ethernet to get the setup process to work. Once it finished they are happy wireless.

If you were using the Play 1s as surrounds, why do you now need to add them again? If there was an issue resetting them should have been the last resort.

Are you able to hardwire your Playbar to your router/network? Give that a try for troubleshooting purposes.

Give Sonos support a call if that does not work and submit a diagnostics when they ask. They should be able to see if there is an issue with either your network or speakers.

Check webb app if all appear in there, a reset can make things worse

My play1s were a real problem to update

Hi @CamIan

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of the issue you’ve had with trying to add your Play:1s to your Playbar as surrounds.

If the above advice did not help, please try removing the Sub from the Playbar, add the Play:1 surrounds, and then add the Sub back on.

I hope this helps.
