No-one can possibly say without more information, such as which amplifier it is and what you want to do with it.

Thanks for your reply

I'm trying to play fm etc through amp/ receiver via hdmi hooked to Beam

Assuming this is a conventional HDMI output on the receiver it won’t work. The Beam has to connect to an HDMI-ARC or -eARC input port, usually on a TV. It uses the Audio Return Channel, hence “ARC”.

Thanks ratty

Appreciate that

Hi

Assuming you have A/V receiver/amp with an available RCA-Out you can purchase a Sonos Port. Connections would be RCA-Out from AV to Sonos Port RCA-In. Select FM or another connected source (i.e. CD, turntable) to hear the audio through your Beam or multiple Sonos speakers.

Be warned: If the AV has wired speakers and they are in the same room (or very close proximity) to the Beam you will have an echo effect due to Port delay to Beam and/or other Sonos speakers (which is normal to keep all Sonos speakers  in sync).
