Samsung Q7F often defaults to PCM

I have a Samsung Q7F tv connected by ARC to a Sonos Beam 2 and Mini-Sub.  The combination is capable of great sound and crystal clear dialogue but annoyingly the TV often defaults to PCM which is not so clear.  Then it requires going to the tv settings>sound>expert settings to select bitstream out and Dolby or Dolby +.   We use the tv between UK free to air SD, HD and Netflix, Prime, Disney, iPlayer.  Does anyone know if the Samsung Q7F can be set to default to automatically select the best sound?

Not all shows/movies are available in 5.1 audio. So it is perfectly normal to be getting Stereo PCM audio when watching certain programming.

Keep the TV settings set to Bitstream and Dolby Digital Plus and the TV should play 5.1 audio when it is available.

Thanks for your response.
