Hi Everyone, I have just upgraded my Playbar to an ARC as I bought some ACE headphones. At the moment, in my Home Theatre set up I am using 2 Ones as the rear speakers. I have been reading articles that lead me to think that I should swap the Ones for Play 3s. Is this a waist thing to do? Would it give me better sound?

I already have the Play 3s so it won’t cost me anything.

thanks in advance,

Matt

There is no reason that I can think of to do this.  Personally I prefer the sound of the Ones.  The Play:3 is an older speaker with much less memory than the Ones, and so the Ones are better future-proofed.

It would be fairly simple to give the Play:3s a test and see if you think they sound better.

As @John B says, it’s easy to swap them over and try.
Assuming you have the 3’s set up in another room, decide which you like where, and that’s your best setup.
Some will say one setup is better, others will say the opposite. It’s your system, your rooms, and your ears. 😜

I love my Play 3s but the Ones sound and work better (size/appearance) as surrounds.

The Play 3s work great in another room where they are less visible.
