Alright folks. I’m new to the Sonos universe and have some equipment setup questions.

I have a 82 inch Samsung QLEs TV, Apple TV 4K, (2) Sonos Amps and (4) Sonance 8” in wall architectural speakers (2 fronts/2 rears). Sonos sub is on its way…I also have a Eufy camera system that is POE. Everything is wired to a router in a closet approximately 6 feet away. (Amps are hardwired to the router with the WiFi turned off)

I’ve tried to set the system up but couldn’t get audio coming to the in walls without either airplay from my phone or directing the audio from the Apple TV to the speakers by selecting it from the audio setting in the device (when this is done I cannot control the speaker volume from the Apple Remote and have to go through the Sonos app to control the volume). I’ve turned the anynet+ off/on, unplugged components and self help topics from this forum.

I had one of the amps wired to eARC and still had no luck. I ended up going to BestBuy and purchased a Rocketfish - 2-Output HDMI Splitter with 4K at 60Hz and HDR Pass-Through and still no luck. What I’ve found is that the splitter does not support eARC and the camera system may be causing some tech issues due to it being connected through HDMI on the TV.

My guess is that I need to purchase a HDMI splitter that is capable of eARC, buy a port or a receiver. I’m at a loss and want to enjoy this system. I’m looking forward to watching movies, sports and everything else.

**My main goal is to be able to turn the TV on and use Apple TV to hear audio and turn the column up and down without the use of any other hubs or electronics.

Can someone help me please?!

Not a TV expert but…

Why are you trying to split the eARC? Is that even possible?

The eARC on the TV direct to one of the Amps should work, just follow the setup instructions.

I think the second Amp will connect over the network to power the surround channels if the radio (wifi off) is disabled.

Once connected to the TV and the TV set to use the amp(s) the volume should work.

How have you set up the Amps? Are they two “rooms” or have you got one set up to be surrounds and therefore setup as a single room?
