New S2 component with exitsting S1 config

I have a S1 setup, of which some parts are S2 compatibe, and some not.

I am happy with this. I am operating this with the S1 app on my iPad.

I want to buy a beam, gen 2. This requires S2. I accept that this will

be an isolated system.

Can I install this by just installing the S2 app, and adding the new beam?

Yes, you can set the new Beam up as a separate system using the S2 app. Install the app and follow the directions for a new system. If the app gets confused by the presence of the old system then power those units off temporarily during the setup.

Obviously the Beam won’t communicate with the S1 system.
