Toshiba TV has ½ and Mute cycle. When I hit ½ mute it works, then hit it again and the TV shows Mute 0, but the volume goes back to normal. But I do this cycle for the second time it works as it should and the TV is muted. I have a Ray and Sub.

Your TV may have a two-stage mute internally, but Ray simply reacts to the infra-red codes put out by your remote and will mute immediately.
