We can be watching netflix on the TV and the sound seems to just stop.  If we skip forward or backwards the sound comes back.

Hi there @askteasy, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the community. Thanks for submitting a diagnostic report of your Sonos system and sorry to hear about this issue that you have with your Sonos speakers. Upon checking the diagnostic report, It detects Audio Playback Failure - Transport Errors, Playback Stopped due to Not Enough Bandwidth, and Wireless Interference errors. kindly check these articles about Reducing Wireless Interference on Sonos and Music Service stops or skips for some troubleshooting steps. And check for the placement of the Arc to the router if it’s near or anything that may cause interference because it detects low signal bandwidths.

Let us know how it goes and we're here to answer any further questions you have.

Thats interesting we have netgear orbi mesh network.  The router is at the front of the house and one satellites upstairs and one in the lounge downstairs at the back of the house.  It arc seems to be on the 2.4Ghz network and connected to the satellite in the lounge which is about 2m right and 2m up from the arc so signal should be fine.

Is there anywhere in the interface I would be able to see the signal strength at the time?

Did you include a link to the articles?

The underlined words are links.

Although since the Arc is wired with an ARC HDMI cable, I’m somewhat confused as to how wireless interference could affect it. It might be worth trying another HDMI cable, which would also check the connections at both ends.

There certainly could be WiFi interference causing the Arc to lose communication with the surrounds, though.
