Issues connecting Sonos Ray to Samsung TV

I have a Samsung UN60TU690TF. When I connect the optical cord and change the setting on the tv to optical it is not working. I have tried multiple times to do this and when I try to connect to tv on the Sonos app it continues to load/buffer until it tells me it is unable to connect. I have changed the default audio output to PCM and it is still not working. I’m looking for any advice on how I can connect my Ray to my tv.

There are some things to try mentioned here…

I would also ensure the Samsung TV software is fully up-to-date too.

Are you using a new optical cable?  If so, check the very tips of the ends for caps.  They are often very small and easy to miss.  Like this:

Confirmed I am using an optical cable and the caps are off the ends of the cable.
