SONY KD-65XH9005 SONOS ARC & XBOX SERIES X Issues
I recently purchased a sonos arc which arrived last week, setup as per the sonos instructions and was all working fine. However i have started encountering issues with the sound just randomly dropping out. This can be when watching TV or using one of the android apps on the tv (Disney +). Also when the xbox series X is set to output dolby atmos the sound drops every few seconds. Sometimes when the tv is first turned on then sound does not come through the soundbar. To rectify the TV audio i have to change the output from Audio System to TV Speakers and then back again. This however does not stop the sound dropping randomly again or the Xbox Issue. I am unsure which device is the problem, whether it is the soundbar or the TV Struggling to process the sound correctly. Failure adding sonos one sl as surround to beam using unifi network
Hi, I am trying to add 2x Sonos one sl speakers as surround boxes to Beam. Network router Is unifi router (one LAN network, one ssid). All connected wireless to same SSID. As regular boxes added to the same chamber both boxes function well. But if I want to add them as surround to the beam, I get an error message stating they can not connect. diagnostic number 841887912.
Hue Sync Box lag and dropouts when Sonos Arc powered on
Hi all, For some background I havenvidia Shield > Hue Sync Box > TV (hdmi1) Took delivery of my Sonos Arc today and was super excited to get this working. Its connected to my eARC hdmi socket on the tv and appeared to work fine. However, when watching a movie later and turning on the Hue Sync Box light effects it became apparent that the lights were lagging or even freezing at some point. If i unplug the power for the Sonos Arc - everything is fineI’ve tried the followingReplaced all HDMI cables with high quality ones Connected my laptop > hue sync box (problem persists, so i can rule out the nvidia shield) Tried different HDMI ports on the sync box Tried different HDMI port on the TVNo matter what I do the light effect seams laggy, occasionally flashes, or just freezes on one color I’ve logged this with Sonos, and will be calling them tomorrow - but if anyone has some other ideas to try, please reply. I’d hate to return the “Arc” but its a considerable amount of money to pay
New Arc issues
I’ve had the Arc working flawlessly for 12 months or so, paired with a Sub 3 and two Ones. Watching the TV yesterday..the screen went black, sound stopped and the light on the ARC was flashing. Everything came back for a second then it repeated and then settled. It has continued to do this all day on intermittently. The setup then disappears from the Sonos App. Any suggestions? Thanks
Mounting Sonos Playbar Above TV
Hello - Has anyone mounted their Playbar above the TV? How’d it work out? How much above eye/ear level have you done it/how much space between top of Playbar and shelf (or ceiling) is required? Any issues with top of Playbar being too close to shelf/ceiling above (causing distortion of the sound waves or over-heating)? I am considering moving the Playbar above the TV (which is on an extendable mount that comes out of a recess in the wall).
Sonos ARC : sound from Apple TV 4k isn't working properly
System: LG UHD display, Apple TV 4K (A12 Bionic version), Sonos ARC SL/Sub/Play1 home theaterProblem: volume control stopped working / no audio outputSeveral days ago I noticed an issue with my Sonos home theater - no sound output in Prime videos. Clicking the volume control on the aTV remote brought up a grey circle with a slash on the right edge of the screen. I was still able to get video out of locally served movies as well as the Hulu app. Later in the day, the Hulu sound quit, followed by Apple Trailers. Now I have no sound at all, even from the aTV click and window system sounds. I discovered that none of the apps on my devices could see the Sonos system (once the Sonos HT was installed I never again used the apps), so I did a WiFi reset as prescribed in the support docs. My apps could then see the system, but the audio was still gone. I reset the remote function and had the app relearn the aTV remote, still nothing but that grey circle with a slash on the right side of the scre

I have sony KD65A8 tv and Sonos arc sound bar, problem when microphone switched on experiencing sound dropping out also when in adjacent room arc seems to have a mind of it’s own the other day just decided to suddenly switch tv on and play a music video. I have contacted Sonos support and while full of suggestions it seems it’s down to me to try and fix the problem. I am astonished at reading so many previous complaints regarding this issue that Sonos just seems to side step the problem.
LG 65SM9000PUA tv with Sonos ArcI could not get the sound output to stay on “internal tv speaker.” If I select internal tv speaker it automatically changes back to “HDMI Arc” to play output through the Sonos Arc.I researched the fix on this forum and wanted to share my findings.Both the TV and the Sonos app have settings for autoplay for sound output and both must be turned off. TV settings to adjust:”All settings” then “connection” then “hdmi device settings” then turn off “SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC)”.Sonos app settings to adjust:“System” then select the corresponding device, for me it was “arc” then turn off “tv autoplay”Make sure both tv and sonos autoplay settings are off and you will be able to change from Sonos HDMI arc as sound output to internal tv speakers.Warning: when you change back to HDMI Arc input on the tv, the autoplay setting on the tv will be reactivated. It gets annoying turning off frequently but that’s the work around.Happy listening!
New S2 component with exitsting S1 config
I have a S1 setup, of which some parts are S2 compatibe, and some not.I am happy with this. I am operating this with the S1 app on my iPad.I want to buy a beam, gen 2. This requires S2. I accept that this willbe an isolated system.Can I install this by just installing the S2 app, and adding the new beam?
Can I get TV Audio from Arc to AirPlay 2 Receiver or is Sonos Port Required
I’m trying to figure out exactly what I need. I have a TV with an eARC connection. I also have in-ceiling speakers throughout the house and on the patio. I’m trying to get the TV audio to the in-ceiling speakers (in sync). I have already ordered a Sonos Arc with sub package and a Move (for a room with no in-ceiling speakers). I also already have a Belkin Soundform (Airplay 2 receiver) that is connected to the amp feeding the in-ceiling speakers and an Apple HomePod Mini (it is my HomeKit Hub; I hardly ever use it for audio). I’m wondering whether I can get audio from the Arc to the Soundform to play over the in-ceiling speakers. That would be ideal, as it wouldn’t require buying anything else or making anything redundant. If not, is the only solution a Sonos Port connected to the amp feeding the in-ceiling speakers? That would mean buying a Port and rendering the Soundform useless. Thanks in advance. I appreciate how helpful everyone here is. Will
Beam surround rear speakers not working
Hi, this may just be me.I have had a beam and 2 play one as my surround sound that i just set up. When I test the sounds on the app it sounds great with the volume coming from all three speakers. However when I play my TV there is no sound out of the rear play one’s (both) or it is extremely low and does not add anything to my audio experience. I have been through the set up a couple of times and each time increased the distance sat from the speakers (its now at max) each time rerunning true play to optimize the sound which has made no difference.This is my first surround sound and its not the experience i was expecting or have heard about. I dont think it ls working as it should. Please help.I have a Sony Bravia xbr65x850e TV.
Stuttering Issues Playing Dolby Atmos from PS5
Hi everyone!Over the last few months I’ve jumped deep into the Sonos eco-system, and absolutely love it.However, I’m running into one problem that I’d love to get feedback on.Specifically it has to do with Dolby Atmos playback from a UHD Blu-Ray on my ARC.Whenever I play an Atmos Blu-Ray it sounds amazing, BUT it is constantly stuttering and has occasional static. It happens pretty consistently throughout the movie, but especially when it’s loud and there is a lot going on. It does it to the point where the movie is pretty much unwatchable.I’ve tried everything I can think of. Beam wont add surrounds
Hi, I have a beam and until a few weeks ago all was working ok. It’s has no dropped my 2x Play 1’s and won’t allow me to add them as surrounds.I have factory reset everything and started again with no luck. The error message I get is “two compatible Sonos speakers are required etc etc”. It’s feels like it doesn’t even search, the error message instantly pops up.The WiFi router has been constant before and after the issues, so I have ruled that out.I have exhausted my understanding of this, any ideas?Thank youWill
Beam Turns Off TV
Ever since I set up my Beam last week, my TV turns off randomly every so often. I have tried a number of fixes that I have researched such as turning off auto play, Alexa, CEC, etc. None of these have any effect and the tv continues to turn itself off. The TV auto shut down is off and I never experienced this issue once before setting up the Beam.
Bass after adding surrounds sounds bad
Hello Sonos Community!I just added two Sonos One SL surround speakers to my Sonos Arc. I’ve been using the Arc without surrounds for about 2 months prior. I don’t have a Sub.Before adding the surrounds the bass produced by the Arc was full, deep and balanced. I had my EQ bass setting on 5 and it sounded incredible. After adding the One SLs the bass sounds pretty bad. It now seems to be mostly in the deep lows and it sounds very unbalanced. Both me and my partner think the bass sounds muted and bad.I tried running the TruePlay calibration twice and I played with the EQ. Increasing the bass through the EQ increases the bass output in the very low spectrum but makes it sound worse overall.This happens both with music and with movies and with pretty much any source (stereo or Atmos).I’m kind of disappointed after investing in the surrounds and having a worse overall sound.Am I doing something wrong?
arc height adjustment not working
Hi all,I have a Sonos Arc connected to LG C1. I have tuned with Trueplay and Sonos app tells me I am listening in Dolby Atmos. However, when I slide the Height Adjustment left and right on the Sonos app while watching and listening to Atmos content, there is no difference in sound. Should it be noticeable? Any tips? I just want to make sure that the top firing speakers are working.
Beam sound cutting in and out - vizio TV
Hello, Have had a Sonos Beam for almost a year now with no problems. However, within the last week, sound has randomly been cutting out for 3-5 seconds from the speaker while watching tv. This happens every 3 minutes or so Beam is connected to our TV via HDMI arc port. The only other HDMI connected device on the tv is our Xfinity Flex cable box. This is where we view all of our streaming apps. Vizio TV Audio settings:digital audio out: Dolby DigitalAnalog audio out: fixed Vizio TV system settings:CEC: enabled Would love a solution for this!
2021 Apple Siri Remote Volume Control Sonos Arc + Sonos Amp
Hello! I have a new Sonos Arc that is connected to my 2021 Samsung Neo 75” screen via the HDMI ARC port. I use my 2021 Apple TV 4K with new 2021 Siri remote and no other input device (such as a cable box or DVD player).My latest gen Sonos Amp is connected to the same wifi network as the Arc Soundbar and runs the rear speakers for that same TV. I am able to control the volume of the Arc soundbar with the new Siri remote however not the Sonos Amp when watching TV. I am able to get the TV to play it’s audio through both the soundbar and the Amp but the new Apple Siri remote only controls the volume of the Arc soundbar and not the Amp which is connected to my rear speakers. Anyone figured out how to get the Siri remote to control both the Arc and the Amp when they are paired together in the same Sonos zone for my living room TV?
Unable to set up my new system (no 'Set up a new system' option)
Hi everyone,My Sonos Arc arrived today and I am somehow falling at the first hurdle just setting it up so would be grateful for some advice!Having connected the Arc to the mains, TV eARC port and wired network and downloaded the Sonos Android app (v13.0.1) I don’t appear to have the ‘Set up a new system’ option when opening app as described here. Instead, all I get is ‘Join existing system’ which, when selected, fails to find anything.Any help gratefully received, not least as it took a lot of effort convincing my wife that we should spend £899 on this and she’s staring at me with a look of ‘I thought you said this was premium?!’… I’m therefore hoping this is plain and simple user error… What am I doing wrong? I must be overlooking something obvious!
Atmos and SonosNet Issue
This could get long so apologies in advance. This has been a game of dominoes/whack-a-mole and I’m not sure what to do next….Upgraded my wifi system to ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8). Had immediate issues with the majority of my Sonos speakers no longer available. Only the Arc (+surrounds+sub) and one other remain. Found the Community articles Downgraded the ASUS firmware to 25790. Sonos speakers showed up! But Internet speeds went from consistent 400Mbps to intermittent 1-5Mbps. Reverted router to latest firmware. Internet works. Sonos speakers gone again. Plugged Arc ethernet port directly into router to form SonosNet. All the speakers are back! Atmos no longer working, showing Stereo PCM. Unplug Arc ethernet cable, back on wifi, Atmos back! Other speakers gone. Move another speaker to plug into router, Speakers are back! Atmos is gone again.At this point I’m kind of at a loss as to how to get Atmos to work with my setup. Any suggestions or personal experience would be apprecaited.
