I have had my play bar connected to my TV for many years and I did not think I had the audio cord connecting from my tv to soundbar. I remodeled my house and had my guys reinstall. However, now I’m not able to use my play bar and it doesn’t connect to my Sonos. Do I have to use the audio cord to connect my TV?

The only way to get audio from your TV to a Playbar is a digital optical cable.

Yes, there is an optical cable that connects a PLAYBAR to a TV set. The TV needs to be set for a maximum output of Dolby Digital, as does each device that feeds the TV.
