Sonos app tells me that I need to hook up sonos amp t earc. But my arc is connected to the earc on my TV

So you want to connect an Arc and an Amp to the same tv? However the Sonos Amp just has an ARC connection not eARC. If your TV has another HDMI port with ARC functionality, you should be able to connect the Amp there.
