Dolby Atmos sound test

Hello to all,

is there a way to test the Dolby Atmos sound on the HT sistem even thought SonoS app reports “DOlby Atmos”?

I searched on youtube and there are tracks “Dolby Atmos” test...but playing those the SonoS app gives 5.1 and not Dolby Atmos.

So how could i do a Dolby Atmos test to compare ERA100 to ERA300 (using the Beam gen2 + Mini sub)???

Thanks

Here are two Dolby Atmos test tones videos in MP4 format. You might be able to put them on a USB flash drive and play on your TV. They can also be played directly from an iPhone to an Apple TV 4K or Roku Ultra via AirPlay:

Hello Guitar,

do you use Netflix?

i found out that if i disconnected the SonoS Beam eArc cable The TV uses it s own speakers and has Armos function.

in this case , when I play a Atmos movie , i get to see on the top right corner (for few seconds) the badge “Dolby vision+Dolby Atmos”…and i hear the sound of the elicopter on my left…

If I switch back to the eArc connection i get

-SonoS app displaying the “Atmos” badge

-no “Armos sound” badge from Netflix

-no sound on my left from the damn elicopter.

i have the impression that yes SonoS see it as an Atmos sound but the movie has no more the “Atmos badge” and finally i do not get the Atmos sound from the SonoS sistem.

Thank you for the files…

I tried them and the speakers sound good (except the test on the ceiling speakers that I have not).

So i guess the issue is the movie that does not give me the Atmos when connected to SonoS…

I still don’t understand why the SonoS app tell me i have “Dolby Atmos” then….

damn…..

If the Sonos app displays the Dolby Atmos logo, you are getting Dolby Atmos audio.

Hello to you,

is this referred for both SOnoS system and the movie?

Strange the movie does not show “Dolby Atmos” when it’s connected with Sonos and it does when using the TV speaker...

Don’t worry about what the TV says. Just check the Sonos app.

Ok, so i guess I ll have to stick to the SonoS app even though I do not hear the DOlby Atmos sound...(while I do get it from the TV speakers...)

I bet you have an LG TV.  Don't worry...it's completely normal, the "Dolby Atmos" badge only appears with the internal speakers...regardless of the connected system...so refer to the SONOS app.
