I’m looking to connect a Lenco LS-300 Black Turntable to my Sonos soundbar, I only have an optical on the soundbar and a L&R on the turntable. Before the trial n error starts to cost me money, can one of you experts out there point me in the right direction please?

If you want to connect the turntable directly to the soundbar, you will need an analog to optical converter. You can find them on Amazon for under $20.

Do I need the Sonos amp or will Sonos Port suffice. The turntable has a pre amp built in

The Port is preferable. The Sonos Amp is designed to drive other speakers.
