Connecting to internet using LAN port on Playbar

My setup is two 5.1 systems and three additional Play 1s. I use a Boost, wired to my router. Everything works as it should. I wonder if I can connect to the internet via the LAN port on the back of my Playbar. This might be a stronger connection for the smart TV in a room where the wifi is not as strong as the rest of the house

It will work, but I don’t recommend using it for “too much” - I remember trying to stream 4k video over that and it didn’t go well. If your network matrix shows a green signal then you might be ok (mine is yellow). The port is theoretically limited to 100mbs but you’ll never really get anything like that from it.

In the end I switched to MoCa for this location (using my TV coax cabling to deliver Ethernet) and that works really well.

In my experience a single SonosNet hop with decentish signal strength will max out at about 11-12Mbps. Probably okay for FHD video at a push, but not for 4K.
