Connecting the Sonos Amp to my Frame TV via Wifi, not HDMI

I am buying a FRAME TV with the One Connect box that connects to the Frame TV. I am also buying a Sonos Amp to connect via wire to 2 pairs of Sonance In-Ceiling speakers. Do I need to connect the AMP via HDMI to the One Connect box or can I use Wifi, understanding I may need to sync the sound with the TV due to the latency caused by the WifI. I simply do not want to have to put the amp in the in-wall box behind the tv, rather have near the router. Will this setup work? Are there any pitfalls?

You must use HDMI, there is no connection between the two via WiFi.
