Make sure there are no caps on the ends of the optical cable.  Make sure optical output is turned on in the TV settings.

Is the light on the Ray white or green?

(also optical cables need a firmer push than you’d think, within reason, so that it clicks in place, and must be 100% lined up when pushing them in as they can only go in one way.)

Do you have a CD player or other optical output device you could try as an input to the Ray?

Which model tv? 55 inch is a size; oled is a screen display technology.

It’s more likely to be a speaker setting than sound.

Also make sure you’ve set TV Autoplay, or else selected tv as the source for the room.

Yes sais should recognise sonus and switch to optical automatic.

From that statement I presume that’s not happening? What if you set it manually, as described?

The Home Screen for the room will show you what input is playing.

Headphones probably disables any other speaker. Make sure they’re not connected.

And again, what happens if you do the manual setting process described in the manual?

Ahh - optical. You’re sure you’ve removed the end caps on the cable(s)? Is it possible one has got stuck in the connector socket  on tv or on the Ray?

Have you set sound output to be “optical”?
