Connect CD to Port with Arc surround configuration

I have an Arc, Sub and 2xFives as a surround system for watching movies in the same room.
Will adding a Port allow me to listen to CD player via these speakers?
I have seen conflicting posts about Arc and Port compatibility, hence asking the question direct.
Yes, I know the Fives have a port allowing CD connection, but the stands block access and they are the wrong end of room.

A Port will allow you to connect any analog source.  Even less expensive is an Era 100 + the Line-In adapter.  Not sure where you got the incompatibility issue from, but there is a lot of misinformation out there.

The surrounds, any surrounds  have the inputs disabled.

I'd go Era 100 too.

A Connect would work if it was S2 compatible but they are getting old.
