Hi all,

Maybe 4 years back I installed a pair of 100’s, an ARC and a Sub in small lounge to use with a Panasonic TV.

At time of install I had horrible problems getting it working. I had support from Sonos and my memory of this was NOT to RJ45 connect the 100’s but to wirelessly connect them to the ARC and SUB … both of which were on RJ45.

I never really understood why at the time but in fairness, it all worked and has worked nicely since.

But ideally I’d prefer ALL my Sonos devices be wired to simplify the configuration, make it more secure and eliminate any risk of performance issues and …. well, I just like cables better 😉

Just to ask if this is possible to do please and if there is a procedure to set this up that maybe I did not understand so well first time of install?

Surrounds (and Subs by the way) on Sonos use a dedicated 5Ghz link from the soundbar. This is the quickest route for the sound stream. Cable connecting speakers will reroute the sound stream through your router. This may lead to sync problems or other packets getting in the way, causing drop outs. If it works now, don’t change it.

Fair enough. Could be a lot of pain avoided as you say. Shame not to be able go full wired but also better than unpicking an otherwise solid system. Many thanks for explaining.
