So I know you can only add two additional rear speakers to the Arc soundbar, but due to the nature of the house each speaker would have to have a separate amp, would the Arc accept one amp per speaker or would both speakers need to be wired into one amp?

The latter. You can bond just one Amp, driving both surround speakers.

The Amp can drive SIX speakers if you use the Sonos/Sonance ones.
They will all play the same sounds though.
With an impedance matching speaker controller you could add several, non-Sonos speakers too.
