Hi all sonos lovers

I’ve just received my Sonos ray, which I have looked forward to for a long time. However, the smile on my face did not last long. Quickly after unboxing and setup, I found out that my LG tv (55uq75006lf) did not want to corporate with my Sonos Ray. I’ve tried everything: Removed the protection of the optic cables, enabled PCM, set the sound output to optic cable, made sure the optic cable is mounted correctly, software is up to date. It can play music through my Spotify app though.

In the Sonos App it says that it’s not able to find the optical cables, when I try to make the TV setup. However, on the TV it seems like it can find the Ray. However, I’m not able to turn up or down for the volume on the TV. When I turn up og down a sound icon appears in the right corn with a line accros it, symbolizing It’s muted. Does any one of you know what could be wrong? I’ve search online for several hours now

Best regards, sonolad

Make sure TV Autoplay is enabled under the Ray’s settings in the Sonos app.
