Beam stopped working - Sony TV

My sonos beam hooked to my sony smart tv just quit working?  I have unhooked everything and rebooted, I have reloaded the sonos, i have put a new HDMI cable on it??  When i hook up the tv says redirecting sound to external speaker but no sound happens?  It was working fine one day and not working next day?

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

Does the Beam indicate that anything is playing in the Sonos app, in Now Playing? It should indicate the audio format of the feed coming from the TV.

It may help you to ensure that TV Autoplay is enabled: Settings Icon » [room with Beam] » scroll down to Home Theatre » enable TV Autoplay.

Another thing that may help is to reboot the TV - please unplug it from power for at least a full minute. Plug back in, turn on, and ensure the Beam is selected as the output device in the TV’s settings. This will restart the TV’s software in a way that standby will not achieve. Please also make sure that Bravia Sync is enabled in the TV’s settings.
