Hi, I have the Beam gen 2 status light turned off in app.Over last week when I change volume with remote the light now flashes white.I’m sure I’d have noticed this before now.Does anyone else have same issue.

The led will always light up briefly on volume changes, even when status light is disabled in the app.

Thanks for quick reply.Just surprised I never noticed it flash briefly on volume change over last 3 months of owning Beam.Glad you’ve confirmed it’s not a fault.
It’s more noticeable on the Arc and Arc Ultra as the led is on the front of the device, rather than the top as with Beam (Gen2), therefore, maybe why it has taken you some time using the Beam before you spotted this behaviour.
On my Arc Ultra there is a setting way down the Room menu, IR Signal light.
Never tried it but if it is also on the Beam it might be what you want.
There is a use IR setting which I tried on/off but never changed light blinking on volume change.
Light doesn’t briefly light when changing volume with app.Only when using LG tv or Sky Q remotes.
I can easily see top of Beam from where I sit so just surprised I never noticed the flash before this week as I usually cover LED lights with sticker on equipment I can’t turn them off.
I actually did factory reset.Then couldn’t add Beam on iOS app as I easily did when I got Beam.Had to use windows app which worked.
Looked at my Beam gen 1 and it only has the off/on control, no IR signal light control.
My original Arc has the IR signal light control as does my Arc Ultra.
