The factory reset brings so many problems and solves so few it should be a last resort.
Maybe if you power down all Sonoe, reboot router and controller then power up the Sonos you may vet past the error.
Thank you however, I have done that many times.
The help in the app suggested the factory reset.
ALL the other speakers PLAY1 and PLAY3 and a Ikea one connect NO problem. The ONE SL and the Beam .. I did a network update and the One SL is fine … the Beam goes thru the update and connects and then I get that message.
Its bloody annoying.
WHY dont these products just work!
My Sonos Beam 2 hasn’t worked for a very long time. I have tried every suggestion online and still nothing. It can’t even factory reset. It all started when I bought the Sonos headset and did the app update some time ago. Now the speaker just flashes and I can’t add it to my sonos app and no sound comes out of the speakers. It once worked perfectly and I loved it. The system didn’t even last a year.

I had no problems with this Beam Gen1 for years.
Got Eeros to replace Nests
In SONOS all the other devices immediately are available. except the One SL and the Beam - as I wrote the one is fine now but the beam not
I am going to call support but I have to run an errand first.
ugh
Unbelievable My beam 2 has been fixed! In order to do the factory reset I had to just barely touch the power cord in the back to the power port and press the button in the back. The key is don’t unplug and then totally insert the power plug into the back of the beam 2, just barely touch it to the port so it get power while holding the join button in the back. It works again after being broke for six months or so. Happy times are here again.
