Hi. As title says. Same time every night, one minute past midnight, Beam flashes green/white twice and powers off the TV. I thought it was the WiFi lease expiring but I’ve set that to 21 days and it’s made no difference. It’s been happening for some time now and when the hour moves back/forth (daylight saving) it doesn’t change the time it does it. Still one minute past midnight. Anyone any ideas? Beam Gen 1 and all updates applied. Thanks

That sounds like a routine set somewhere. If you have a voice assistant installed that’s where I’d look. The same thing can occur with a smart plug or switch.

There’s a several things here.
The Beam itself doesn’t tell the TV what to do, although it can pass commands sent to it. Usually, it’s the TV sending commands to the Beam, via ARC. As you’ve already figured out, it wouldn’t have anything to you with the lease on your IP addresses.
Have you checked, both in the Sonos app, and any home controll apps (like HomeKit, or Google Home, or any equivalents) that there isn’t a timer/alarm set for that time that might be being sent to the Beam and/or the TV set? Or possibly another device connected to the TV, like a cable box?
If you haven’t already done so, I’d be tempted to reset both the TV, and the Beam, by unplugging them from the wall for two minutes, then plugging them back in. Two minutes after plugging them back in, check the TV for updates, there is likely somewhere buried in the settings where you can do so.
Finally, if none of this works, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem (yes, after midnight, but you don’t have to call immediately), and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, Sonos’ lawyers get sensitive about GDPR, I suspect.
There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.
When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
Thanks Bruce. Appreciate the reply and suggestions. We got a new TV within the last 2 months and it was exactly the same with the previous one, right down to the same time power off. No home kit or equivalent installed and no power off timer set on the TV. If I remove the cable running to the TV arc port the power off doesn’t occur.

What source are you viewing? The shutdown at exactly one minute past midnight is interesting. What happens if you change your time zone? How long has the TV been playing? Some TV’s and sources are, by default, programmed to shut down after playing for xx hours.
Ha! Voice assistants need to be more helpful. Maybe you could have asked: “Alexa, Why did my TV shut down at 12:01am?”
