Beam (gen 1) and ERA 100 for TV surround

I have an older Beam and I would like to get surround sound out of my TV (Beam connected to TV via HDMI ARC).  Thinking of buying a couple of ERA 100s for rear speakers, but some of the stuff I read seem to indicate I’ll get a 75ms delay out of the ERA 100s.  Is this true?  What does the community recommend for this config?

There's no delay when used as surrounds.  The delay only applies when other rooms are grouped to play the TV source.

The Eras will work just fine, with no delay for your sound as said above. But...

Since you have a Play 1 listed in your profile you might consider using two of them as surrounds and putting the Eras where they came from. The 100s are going to be a lot better than the Play 1s as primary speakers whle the Play 1s are adequate surrounds. More audio bang for your buck.
