Sonos Beam. Sometimes the audio is ok. Other times it is ok but I cannot adjust the volume up or down. Sometimes no audio at all. Tried disconnecting from power to no avail.

Any help will be appreciated.

What model TV do you have? Do you have any other devices connected to the TV? Do you have a Beam Gen 1 or Gen 2?


Beam Gen 1. Sky box only.


Try this:

Disconnect everything from the TV and unplug the Beam and TV from power for a couple of minutes. Plug everything back in but keep everything disconnected. Make sure CEC is enabled in the TV settings. Run TV Setup in the Sonos app and follow the app instructions. When the app instructs you, connect the Beam to the TV’s HDMI ARC port using the Sonos-supplied HDMI cable. After the Beam has been successfully connected, connect the Sky box to the TV. In the Sky box settings, go to Settings > Setup > Audio Visual and set HDMI Control to OFF.
