I just bought both a new TV LG OLED G4 and a Sonos Beam. When I try to paid the Sonos to the tv via the app, even though the Beam is connected to the tv via HDMI eARC, it says that TV speakers not connected and I can’t get my Sonos beam to work. The TV does recognize that the soundbar is connected, tho.

Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with your Sonos Beam Gen 2 and your LG TV not communicating with each other correctly.
There are a few possibilities, each with a different solution. You can attempt these in whichever order you feel will be easiest for you, and only one of them may actually be needed:
- An issue with the HDMI cable. If you are not using the supplied HDMI cable, please do so. If you already are, please check the connection at each end to ensure they are properly inserted. If either end feels rather looser than it should, please try swapping the ends of the cable round to see if they fit better that way.
- Problem with the TV’s management of the HDMI-CEC network. Reboot the TV’s software by removing power from the TV for at least 2 minutes. Standby does not count - please ensure the TV has no power.
- Issue with the Beam’s software. Please reboot the Beam by unplugging it from power for 20 seconds.
- An HDMI device conflict. It’s possible that another HDMI device is connected to the TV and causing a conflict. While the TV is off, please remove connections to other HDMI devices until Beam is operating properly. If the issue returns after reconnecting other equipment, you may need to disable CEC-related functions on that device, such as TV input switching or turning the TV off/on with the device. If this cannot be done, a CEC-less adaptor can be found on shopping sites for very little money (£$€5 or so) that gets fitted to the HDMI cable of the device causing the conflict.
- Wrong source selection. If the Beam reboots or plays another source while the TV is on, it won’t auto-switch to the TV later. Select the Beam’s room in the Sonos App, then Select TV under Your Sources on the Home Screen. Or, if you have Alexa installed on the Beam, say “Alexa, switch to TV” or for Sonos Voice Control, “Hey Sonos, switch to TV”.
If the TV configuration during initial setup never completed due to any one of the above, you may need to go through it again after fixing whatever the problem turned out to be. In the app, go to Settings icon » troom with Beam] » TV Setup if this seems to be the case.
I hope this helps.
