Audio Skipping/Stuttering with Era 300s - Seeking Advice

Hi Sonos Community,

I’m running into a persistent issue with my setup and would appreciate any advice. Here’s my current setup:

Sonos Arc (Ultra): Hardwired via Ethernet, WiFi disabled.

Sub (Gen 4): Also hardwired via Ethernet.

Two Era 300s: Configured as rear speakers, currently connected via WiFi.

I’m experiencing consistent stuttering or audio skipping from the Era 300s, which is frustrating. Here’s some additional context:

1. WiFi Setup: I have a robust whole-home UniFi system with excellent signal strength throughout the house, including the living room.

2. Troubleshooting Steps:

• Re-enabled WiFi on the Arc while keeping it connected via Ethernet, but the issue persists.

• Ensured no interference from other devices or sources.

I’ve ordered the Ethernet dongles to hardwire the Era 300s, but I was hoping to avoid additional cables and keep them wireless if possible.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Are there any recommendations for further troubleshooting or adjustments to the network settings that might help?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Try it with and without the Arc connected via ethernet, but always keep WiFi enabled on ALL speakers.

Keep WiFi enabled on ALL speakers in the Sonos app. Disconnect the ethernet cable from the Sub 4 and keep it wireless. Then unplug the Arc Ultra from power for about a minute. If this doesn’t help, try removing and re-adding the Era 300s as surrounds or keeping the Arc Ultra wireless too.

I’ll give this a try. Do you recommend keeping the Arc connected via Ethernet in addition to enabling WiFi within the app?

the WiFi radio in the soundbar must be ON.  That’s how it communicates with the Sub & Surrounds.

The Disable Wi-Fi option in the App is mislabeled, it actually urns Off the radio.
