Hello

I have a Toshiba 40L3451DN tv and have just purchased a Sonos Beam.
This tv has no arc ports and no optical port. It does have a spdif coaxial and ability to change headphone output to lineout. Is any of these options compatible with the beam and if so will I need to purchase any more equipment?

James

A cheap digital coaxial to digital optical  converter would sort it and definitely better than headphone socket.

So I need to buy coax, is this rca cable?

RCA usually refers to analog stereo connection.

This is the sort of thing I would have expected.  Does this look like it would fit the connection on your TV?

Yes I think so. But just to be sure if it's not the rca what else would it be?

RCA is the connector type. Digital coax cables typically have RCA connectors, but unlike analog cables they have a controlled nominal impedance of 75 ohms. You can probably get away with a standard analog cable for a short run, but it’s not a great idea.
