Just unboxed an d the power cord will not stay connected. Seems to just fall out.

Sorry to hear that. Your best option is to call Sonos Sales Support/Customer Care (not Tech Support). They will either replace the unit or send you another power cord. Possibly the latter first.
However, if you bought it locally, I’d just return the unit. Much quicker turn-around.
