Arc Ultra and Samsung Tv - audio drops

I have replaced an Arc with an Arc Ultra, attached via e-Arc to my Samsung QE55QN90B. They are associated with 2 Era 300s and a Gen 1 Sub.

When playing from my NAS, ( Ethernet connected Jellyfin source), I get a short drop in audio every minute / couple of minutes. Only lasts a second.   Sources from Atmos, to 5.1 to Stereo all experience it.

As it all worked fine with the Arc, I’m assuming it is related to the Arc Ultra

Any thoughts on cause / resolution ?

I’ve been getting the same issues   - and just found this forum !

I do hope Sonos can provide a firmware fix for this.

Well I unplugged TV again and then held down remote power button after leaving unplugged for a minute and plugging power back in. Now not getting dropped round issue.

I think it’s just temperamental but I’m not plugging or unplugging anything!

also I’ll add that I read about the information on the new Sonos media streamer and it looks like it will have HDMI inputs and part of the reason they are making. It is to deal with some of the weird sound issues. You’ll also be able to add Sonos speakers to your front left and right for a proper set up instead of just the sound bar at the front. here’s hoping it turns out well.!

Anyone still getting the issue after the newest update? After the new sonos update I haven’t had anymore drop outs as far as I can tell.

Interesting. I thought it had to do with my power off and on. Weird if that happened to be a coincidence.

im still afraid that if I mess with anything it’s going to go back to being messed up.

qell see!

I might have found a solution for me: in the samsung tv’s audio settings there was an option activated, that sound is always output in parallel to the optical output - I deactivated this option and for about an hour I did not experience any dropouts.

This one setting change fixed it for me. Still using Sonos cable.
