ARC/ERA300 Does Sono is planning to add the option in their app to easily switch from atmos to stereo, vice versa?

 

Being audiophile, I really enjoy the era 300 power. The only show stopper to buy the arc ultra is disabeling the front driver of the era 300 when set in surround mode With arc ultra

 

So, when I listen music I would be like to fully able the era 300

 

But it seems setting up almos then desetting it and setting stereo seem studious 

 

Does Sono is planning to add the option to easily switch from atmos to stereo, vice versa?

Seems unlikely. Sonos has fielded this type of request since the release of the PLAYBAR, and hasn’t done it yet.

The two configurations are very different (direct 5 GHz private ad-hoc network vs 2.4 GHz regular wireless) and require a bit of time to reconfigure the radios and perform the handshakes between the two devices.  This is why adding/removing surrounds takes the extra time it does, and there’s no real way to speed the process up.

I have brought this issue to the attention of Sono. Hopefully, over time they will see it a real issue to adress

 

It is a bit sad to use the era 300 as surround and not to their full capacity (with the front driver) unless we go through this process presented

As stated. there’s nothing which can be addressed.  Reconfiguration takes time, and doesn’t lend itself to a quick toggle between the two.
