I am running a CONNECT and PLAY:3 through my Yamaha RX-681 receiver. The two optical ports are already being used for other electronics. Right now I have RCA jacks running from the receiver “ZONE 2 ZONE OUT“ to the CONNECT “ANALOG AUDIO in”. There is low sound even with the volume on the smartphone and the PLAY:3 turned up all the way. I never had a sound issue when it was connected to my older Pioneer SX-217 receiver. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your receiver probably has volume for zone 2 tied to that output. Figure out how to increase zone 2 volume.
