Is there a way I can control the volume on the Sonos via either the Xbox or Comcast Xfinity controller? I need to simplify for the missus and my mom for when she visits.

You can pair your TV/Cable remote control with the Playbar. That's how i control it. Or via the Sonos app. https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4033/~/setting-up-a-new-tv-or-cable-remote-with-the-sonos-playbar-or-playbase
